I finally finished this blanket that I had made for a friend. It was intended as a Christmas gift but I never quite got around to finishing it until this weekend. It`s two layers, the bottom layer is this printed fleece with all of the Cal Berkeley logos and stuff like that. The school stuff. And then I did this side. Just plain golden yellow with blue Cal letters. Unfortunately it came out a little crooked but its not terrible. Sucks when you only have a small sewing machine and not enough space to work with. I also hand sewed my friends name on there to further personalize it. It was kind of hard keeping it straight because basically I had drawn it out on paper and sewed with the paper on the fleece. So I couldn`t really tell how it was looking until I ripped the paper off. I also blanket stitched around the edges so that I could piece the back piece and front piece together. Originally I was going to just cut and tie the edges to be lazy, but I`m glad I took the time to sew it because it looks much more clean and overall it will be much more comfortable to use.
Do you guys ever make crafts like this?
