DIY Hot Oil Foot Soak

Here is a DIY Hot Oil Foot Soak for soft beautiful feet.

What you need:

Olive or Vegetable Oil
Saran Wrap
A Pair of Old Socks.

Pour some olive oil in a bowl and heat it up in the microwave to a temperature that is comfortable. My preference is on the tab bit hot side so I microwave mine for 1 minute. Test the temperature of the oil with your fingertip. You definitely do not want to burn your feet.

Either using your hand or a paper towel rub the warmed oil all over your feet. I have found that using a paper towel or rag is less messy. Do not be afraid to glob some on your heels or other extra dry areas. Make sure your feet are fully saturated with oil. I glob mine on everywhere.

Next completely wrap your feet in the saran wrap up to your ankles. I recommend wrapping them about 4 or 5 times. You want to make sure your feet are completely covered with the saran wrap.

Then slip on some socks over the saran wrap and let it sit about 30 minutes. I let mine sit about an hour just because I have really bad heels during the winter. I do not recommend walking around too much. Even with the socks on there is still a chance you could slip. You can lounge around on the couch and let the oil do work.

When you are done letting the oil soak in carefully make your way to the tub and throw your feet over inside. I sit on the edge of the tub. Make sure you wait to turn the water on until you have your feet propped up. You definitely do not want a big mess.

Remove the socks and saran wrap and rinse, rinse, rinse. Use warm water. When you are done rinsing use your favorite bath soap or body wash and wash your feet like you normally do.

Optional! You can also use a foot file or pumice stone to scrub your feet to make them extra smooth. Make sure you keep the scrubbing to a minimum. You do not want your feet raw. I speak from experience.

When you are done rinsing and scrubbing dry your feet off and apply your favorite lotion and enjoy your brand new feet.


Why put cooking oil on your feet you ask??

Letting warm oil soak into your feet will help eliminate dry cracked heels and calluses. The oil will soak into your feet and soften the skin. It will also help relieve foot pain after a long day of walking. Do not expect miraculous results over night. I recommend doing the Hot Oil Foot Soak 1 to 2 times a week but you could certainly do it more. I have recommended it to some women who say they try to do it every night. After about 3 weeks you should start to see noticeable results.

I swear by this routine as my feet are crazy dry. Try it out and let me know how it works!
