What could be more relaxing than the soothing scents of lemon and honey? When you need to relax and de-stress, drop one of these homemade honeys in the tub, for a scented soak that`s out of this world. Just follow our easy instructions to make the bath bombs. Great for gifts too!
Note: This recipe makes half a dozen bath bombs.
What You`ll Need:
-1 and 1/4 cups of baking soda
1/2 cup of citric acid (find in the baking aisle)
-2 teaspoons of almond oil
-5 drops of yellow food coloring
-10 to 15 drops of lemon essential oil (find at health stores)
-1/2 Tablespoon of honey
Combine the baking soda and citric acid in a bowl, and stir together until well-mixed.
Drizzle in the almond oil, and stir until the mixture is moistened. Add the food coloring and lemon essential oil, and stir well to combine. Then add the honey, stirring again to combine. If the mixture is too crumbly and not holding together, you can add a bit more almond oil, or a dash of water.
Use your hands to roll the mixture into six solid balls. Place these on wax paper and leave them on a countertop to dry until they are hard (this may take a couple of days). When they`re ready, store bath bombs in the fridge until using. (Add one bath bomb to a tub of full water).
