For Christmas this year, on gifts, I decided to make my own gift tags. One because I couldn`t find any of the ones I already had and two because I`m too lazy to run out and get more. These were very simple to make and I got tons of complements on them. That is lace that you see on one end of the gift tag. I think the lace adds a nice and unique flare to the gift tag.
To make this, you`ll need some card stock paper in the color of your choice. Then you can either free hand then tag or print a stencil. Once again, I`m lazy so I free handed the tags. Then you will need glue. I specifically used e6000 glue because that`s all I had on hand. But Elmer`s glue would probably work fine as well. I would not suggest glue sticks because they`re not strong enough. Hot glue guns might work too. So with the smaller tag, on one end, I spread the e6000 glue all over and then laid a piece of lace ribbon on top of the glue. Then I trimmed off anything that was hanging off the edges. Then I glued the smaller piece to the bigger piece and the. You`re done. If you like, you can get a hole puncher and lunch out holes at the top. I personally cut a small slit on both ends and slipped a piece of ribbon through both ends so the ribbon would lay flat on the present.
