DIY Earring Holder
I just wanted to share with you all a do it yourself earring holder I made.
I actually got this idea off of YouTube, and it seemed so easy, and such a great idea that I decided to copy it. I have been wanting an earring holder like this for a while, and never really found anything that I liked.
This was so simple and it only cost me 3 dollars plus tax!
I got all my supplies from the dollar store. All you need is a large frame (which picked out for 2 dollars) and a roll of mesh shelf liner. They usually have the shelf liner in a few colours, but I find black usually works best for this.
All you have to do it remove the back of the frame and the glass. Cut a portion of the shelf liner to fit in the back of the frame. Place the glass behind the liner and replace the backing.
That is pretty much it!
If your frame is a little loose, you can add a second piece of the shelf liner, but it isnt really necessary. Just try to make sure the liner is as taut as possible.
Now you can hang your earrings on the mesh as pictured. Its generally better for hook earrings since the studs dont really go through.... but I have a jewellery box to store the smaller stud earrings I have and having these hung up saves me a ton of space.
The frame can either stand up on your desk, or to save even more counter space, you can hang it on your wall.
As you can see, mine is already pretty much full. Im thinking of making 1 or 2 more. And since the shelf liner comes in a long roll, all I need is a few more frames. Im thinking I can make a cluster of them in different sizes for all my earrings and hang them on the wall.
And its almost like the earrings act as art!
Hope you all enjoyed this easy DIY project!
p.s. as I mentioned I borrowed this idea from a youtube video. I posted the link to the video where I first saw the idea below.
