DIY: Craft Table

Hey everyone!
This is my latest project.

I found this dirty dusty bench table in the basement. After a good scrubbing, I sanded and painted it a cream white color. I loved the newly painted table, but white just wasn`t doing enough to inspire my creative juices! So I opted to paint the table with some pink & purple! After adding a pop of color I was so much happier! You know me, I can`t stop there! LOL Im such a girly girl... so I sprinkled my table with a little bit of glitter (or a lot of bit).

I was really enjoying the table. I left the table outside overnight to dry. =)
When I woke, I realized that was a BAD idea....
OH no!
It rained and 1/2 of my paint washed away. =( Bummer
As I was outside assessing the damage, the distressed look was kinda growing on me! Little by little the negative thoughts I had began to get replaced by Heck Yah.... I`m digging this! LOL

Even after all that, I decide it was still lacking. So I decided to add a decorative zebra stripe border. I didn`t do it all in one sitting, I took breaks in between settings and after a total of 2 more days. I allowed it to day overnight, the very next day I began apply a coat of polyurethane. Allowing it to dry in between coats, 3 days later and 10,000 coats (what it seemed like) of polyurethane, the table was complete.

I think the table turned out GREAT, what do you think? Is this project too big for you, or just right?!?! I`d love to hear what you think of my brand new craft table!
