Cartilage chains can cost up to $15 or more a pop and you`re stuck with the earrings that are attached to it, not much versatility there. To make your own, all you have to do is take an old, cheap necklace (gold or silver, your choice) and hold it up to your ear to measure how low you want your chain to fall. Once you have established this, cut the necklace to your desired length (regular scissors work perfectly). Next, choose two earrings you want (For today, I chose a bow and pearl) and stick them through the little holes at the ends of the necklace segment you cut. And that`s it, simple, inexpensive, and you can change it up whenever you want.
