I`m always ready to try out new beauty products to find `the one` for my skin. Luckily, I`ve found some good ones but I know there are better ones. So far I`ve tried Exfolikate, Peter Thomas Roth, Laura Mercier Face Polish, Neutrogena, Lush, and many more. However, it`s nice to DIY your own once in a while.
So one of the easiest facial scrubs that I like to use is a little more abrasive, but also brightens and lightens your skin (gradually, of course. it`s not a miracle scrub). Here`s how you make it:
1 tbsp lemon juice (vitamin c will help lighten)
1 tbsp milk powder (exfoliates to make skin smooth and soft)
1-2 tbsp baking soda (helps with acne and exofliating)
1 tbsp natural/organic honey (helps with acne)
Mix together and tweak it until it becomes a nice creamy consistency. Rub it on your face for a minute or two (especially in problem areas) and let it dry for about 15-20 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water and your skin should feel softer and smoother. I find that it can sometimes be too abrasive with the baking soda, so I sometimes add less if my skin is more sensitive.
Let me know if you try this. This is one of the few `perk me ups` during the week if my skin is not doing so well due to work, stress, bad eating, etc. it`s nice to treat yourself to a mask at least once a week. Plus, this mask smells AMAZING. I love anything citrus so it`s nice if you want something refreshing.
