Dinner: Sirloin steaks, 2 sides, and desserts

This is totally an overdue food post...but better late than never right? Right hehe. My husband surprised me w/ dinner reservations at a steak house called Nick + Stef`s during DineLA week. I`m very picky when it comes to fine dining so I usually don`t like to eat out during DineLA week because I think the food isn`t as good as regular nights. My hubby however felt that this particular restaurant had a really good 3 course menu for only $34/ person, and he was right. We each had an appetizer to start off with, I had a soup and my hubs had a caesar salad. Then we both ordered their Chateau Sirloin Steak which came w/ 1 choice of side. The restaurant also offered different types of sauces for our steaks so I went for their olive oil and garlic sauce which was delicious, I absolutely LOVE roasted garlic, I can care less how my breath smells after haha. For side, I chose the roasted Brussels sprouts and he had sauteed string beans. The steak was delicious and so were the sides. Then for dessert I chose a chocolate chip bread pudding w/ vanilla gelato, and the hubs had a vanilla panna cotta. It was a delicious meal for a Thursday night, we usually only wine and dine on the weekends so this was a nice surprise from the hubby. Hope you all had a great day, is it Friday yet???
