I`m finally getting thru some of my backlog but this was a dinner I had made last week, or the week before? I had taken pork chops out of the freezer and had no idea what I was going to do with them. I decided to pan fry them -- something I typically don`t do. I trimmed the visible fat off the sides, seasoned them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and a little italian seasoning and put them into a hot pan that had a tablespoon of Filippo Berio olive oil in it (that I received from BzzAgent!). I let them sizzle and sear until they had a nice color to them and flipped them to let them finish off cooking on the other side. When they were done I had to run to the store to get salad and a side since I didn`t want to make rice -- so I picked up a bag of Thai style frozen rice at Target and tossed it in the microwave when I got home. The rice was good and had a bit of spice to it. Along side it was a simple green salad w/ fat free italian dressing on it. Upon returning home I decided to make a quick sauce with the pork chops, so I added some minced garlic, dijon mustard and a little water to thin out the mustard. It was really yummy!
If you eat pork -- what is your favorite way to have it? Grilled, baked, fried, etc.?
