For dinner tonight, I made Italian sausage! Instead of the traditional pork sausage, I thought I would give the Purdue turkey sausage a try, since it is only 150 calories a link! I cooked it on my mini George Foreman grill, topped it with some mustard, and put it on a slice of Italian bread. The sausage may look a little misshapen in the photo because I cut it to let a little bit of the fat to drain out to cut down on calories (not that there was a lot of fat because they were made from 93% fat free turkey!). I also ate a Caesar salad on the side with grape tomatoes, light Caesar dressing and croutons. Yum! I guess I was in the mood for Italian tonight!
