Dinner: Mediterranean cuisine in NYC

Happy Easter everyone! :) This weekend, my boyfirend and I went to New York City! It was the 5th time I went there, and my boyfriends 2nd time! On Friday night, we were in time square and we wanted to eat a great meal to start well our trip. However, since it was Easter weekend, Time square and its restaurants were crowded. We decided to go on the 47th street and look at the restaurant. We ended up at a restaurant called Dervish, which is a mediterranean, turkish restaurant cuisine. I had never have a turkish meal before, so I was excited.

I took the Mihrap Borek as a starter. It is a stuffed phyllo with mediterranean feta cheese and spinach with aromatic herbs. It was delicious! It came with a little sauce, which was realy good as well! I LOVE spinach and feta cheese, so this was definetly a winner for me! For main course, I took the salmon fillet, which was served with roasted red bliss potato wedges and vegetables mélange. The salmon is my favorite fish, and I rarely order it in a restaurant. It was really good, and the potatoes had a really good taste!

If you ever go to new york city, I definetly recomend you to go to Dervish! Have you ever tried turkish cuisine before?
