Dinner: Meatball Calzone

This was my dinner from last Wednesday (yep, I have a bit of a backlog going on!). On my way home from work I decided to pop into my friendly Greek bakery and ordered a half meatball calzone to try out and ordered up some pastries. I`d heard the bakeries calzones were good so I wanted to try it for myself. I decided to get the meatball because last time I was at the bakery a gentleman was eating a meatball sub and seriously the meatballs were like baseball sized. Then again, I know their pizza is delicious so I figured the calzone would be equally so. Turns out it was quite good! The meatballs are homemade (hooray because frozen meatball are FAR LESS than stellar!), the sauce homemade but could use a little more salt and garlic flavoring, and the dough was a staple pizza dough. It was only $4 for the half calzone, a whole calzone being $7.50. The bakery also serves this up with a container of sauce on the side for easy dipping. And no I didn`t ask them to slice it up as they did, I guess this is the way they serve them.

Do you like calzones? If so what`s your favorite?

Images are mine do not take or use. Thank you.
