A few weeks back my boyfriend and I went out to eat at a local chain restaurant that he enjoys -- called 99 Restaurants. They sell a range of food from grilled steak tips, fried foods, sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. Granted it may not all be the healthiest of options, but the great thing about the restaurant is they are very catering to their customers and also have their nutrition information available on their website. They also offer up some lighter alternative meals (which I did not order this time). My boyfriend ordered his meal and added on a "Meal Deal" where for $3.29 more you get a soup or salad prior to your meal and you get a mini dessert. I had received an e-mail prior to us going which said if you buy any entree you were able to get a free appetizer. When we got there, I told the waitress about my coupon deal and we decided we wanted the boneless buffalo wings because they are to die for and the restaurant has THE BEST bleu cheese ever. The waitress told us to order the XL appetizer because it was free so might as well get the big one -- so the big one is what we got! I will say we had SO MUCH FOOD we ended up bringing half our meals home along with about 3/4 of the buffalo wing appetizer.
Here`s what we ordered:
- Salad w/ ranch dressing
- XL order of boneless buffalo wings FREE!
- Balsamic Grilled Chicken - double side of steamed broccoli
- Sirloin Tips & Chicken Tenders w/ french fries
- Cannoli Chip dessert This is exactly what the description entails ... a deconstructed cannoli. The filling was in the middle drizzled with chocolate and the chips were flat cannoli shell
Our entire meal was around $25 which is a great price for a couple going out to dinner.
Do you have any restaurants you like to frequent?
