I purchased a http://Restaurant.com gift card after my boyfriend and I booked our stay at a hotel on the beach. Im all about saving money, especially when it comes to shopping and/or going out to eat and Ive learned that http://Restaurant.com is a fabulous tool to do just that. I purchased a $25 gift card with the only stipulation that two dinner entrees had to be purchased and it could not be used Friday or Saturday. Not a hard thing to do since both my boyfriend and I would be eating dinner and we werent going to be there on a Friday or Saturday So right there that would take $25 off the top of our bill. The greatest part was http://Restaurant.com was running a special where I could enter a coupon code and pay $3 for my gift card so I put the $25 gift card into my basket (the gift cards are discounted typically to less than half price if purchasing at full reduced price w/o a coupon code). With the coupon code it brought the gift card down to $3! Btw one of the great things about http://Restaurant.com is they are ALWAYS running specials where you can get a valued gift card for like pennies on the dollar.
Upon being seated we were served warm soft rolls with homemade butter quite yummy might I add. But, now onto what we ordered:
I ordered the <strong>Grilled Chicken Kabobs</strong> which was Roasted Onions, Peppers and Mushrooms, Rice Pilaf and Rosemary w/ Garlic Au Jus. This was SUCH an amazing dish! The flavors were amazing, the dish was cooked to perfection and it was seriously fabulous. I ate about half of whats pictured and brought the rest back to the hotel with me. The chicken was alone on the kabob sticks, the veggies underneath the chicken over the bed of rice. The veggies were really grilled to perfection and the mushrooms? Probably hands down the best mushrooms Ive ever eaten.
My boyfriend ordered the <strong>Ocean Boulevard Steak Tips</strong>. His meal consisted of Steak Tips with Bourbon Steak Sauce, Beer Battered Onion Rings, Garlic Mashed Potato, and Grilled Asparagus. He was in his glory and let me try his plate as I let him sample mine and it was seriously fabulous. The steak and bourbon sauce were phenomenal, the mashed potatoes were great (my boyfriend isnt a huge fan of potato and hes Irish, go figure but he was ALL about these potatoes) and the onion rings he gave two thumbs up.
So there you have it, my dinner for two for $11! Quite a delicious meal for only $11. We will be getting another http://Restaurant.com gift card for this restaurant to make a return visit sometime.
Have you ever used http://Restaurant.com to get a gift card or two?
