This is what I made for dinner a few weeks ago -- and actually made this again tonight for dinner! I made homemade <strong>crock pot barbecue chicken w/ peppers and onions, coleslaw and garlic bread.</strong> The barbecue chicken was quite simple as all crock pot meals tend to be. I found a crockpot barbecue packet at the market which all you had to do was pour the packet in, add in 1 1/2 cups water and a 6 oz can of tomato paste. Stir and add in your raw meat and optional veggies. I added in some sliced onions and green peppers and since this cooks so long the onions and green peppers really reduce down to nothing.
As a side I made my coleslaw which I have posted about a few times and at the request of my boyfriend I made garlic bread. I mixed some olive oil and minced garlic in a bowl, spooned this mixture onto sliced sub bread, spritzed it with spray butter and then added on some garlic powder and oregano and baked it in the toaster oven until nice and crisp.
It was a quite delicious meal and my recreation of the meal tonight was equally as delicious.
