Dinner: Chilis Lighter Choice 6 oz. Classic Sirloin

I went out to dinner with one of my really good friends who I used to work with. The company we both worked for closed for good back at the end of August and we have not seen each other since. We do chat on Facebook and keep up that way, but we finally scheduled a day and time to get together to have dinner. It was great seeing her and catching up because we were really inseparable at our place of work (then again we worked together for 10 years!). Plus we both have the same name so it was joked that where you see one, youll see the other. We decided to have dinner at Chilis halfway between each of our houses. I love that Chilis has brought back their healthier choices on their menu, this time under the name Lighter Choice. Years back they had a healthier options portion of their menu but they ended up getting rid of it when they redid the menu which bummed me out. But now the options are pretty widespread in this one section ranging from steak, chicken, sandwiches, etc. I decided to go with the 6 oz. Classic Sirloin which sells for $10.99 (prices may vary state to state). The sirloin comes with a carne asada rub and house-made pico de gallo. Its then served with steamed broccoli. When my plate was brought out to me, my waitress was confused thinking I wanted mashed potatoes and was concerned as to why it wasnt on the plate. I then questioned her as to why there was cheese on my broccoli and she assured me that, that was correct. Mmm.. Im still thinking thats not correct, but nonetheless I picked most of the cheese off the broccoli and ate it. I will say the steak was very good, seasoned perfectly with a slight spunk in the spice department. The pico de gallo on top was a nice touch and the lime just topped it off bringing all the flavors together. Overall, a great meal!

What is your favorite meal to get at Chilis?
