Dinner at La Vecchia
My friends birthday was last week, so I decided to treat her to dinner one night to celebrate. She is a big fan of Italian food, so we decided to go to a popular restaurant in Toronto called La Vecchia. It is a fancier sort of place that is incredible well known for their Italian food. Apparently they are also known for their incredible service, which I can totally believe since our waiters were not only really cute, but really nice and helpful as well! We were totally flirting up a storm haha! ;)
The decor is absolutely beautiful with an old world sort of vibe and you can tell the menu is a bit more upscale. I ended up ordering the Linguine Calamarati, which is a linguini dish with calamari, mussels and shrimp, with a garlic and white kidney bean sauce. It also has rapini which is a bitter sort of green that is one of my favourites. My friend, being a fish fan, ordered the fish of the day which was a Chilean Sea Bass with Mango salsa and an arugula salad on the side. Both of us LOVED our food, it was delicious!
Though a little bit on the pricier side, the food was still affordable and absolutely delicious which made it totally worth it! Including tip and drinks, it came out to a little over 60 dollars for the both of us, which is pretty good considering the quality of the food and the amazing service.
I think we are totally going back soon with some more friends!
