Recently I went to eat at the House of Prime Rib with my boyfriend. We`ve been planning to try the establishment for quite some time, but things always seemed to get in the way.
I can say that I`ve finally been here, so that`s one thing off my bucket list. =]
I enjoyed the hearty meal and yummy dessert. The restaurant made me feel like I was in some rich person`s mansion from back in the `30s, because the ambiance and the furniture all just felt so antique in a grand way. I think my only complaint would have to be that we had to wait quite a while even though we had a reservation. (Well a reservation is kind of a must.) Also, I`m surprised they haven`t modernized the way they seat people by giving everyone one of those beeper things, especially since they advise people to wait at the bar or at the lounge.
Food in Pictures:
King Henry VIII Cut w/ creamed corn & baked potato
Bread & Butter
Tiramisu - I wish I could have appreciated this more, but I was so full by the time dessert came.
That didn`t stop me from finishing it though.
It was fun. I would actually go here again. Our waiter looked like Iron Chef Michael Symon.
Oh, and when they toss the salads, it`s quite a show. I was impressed, mostly because I don`t toss a salad with that much flair. I mostly focus on not letting the leaves fly outside of the bowl.
Thanks for dropping by & take care!
