My friends have always talked so highly about Biergarten Restaurant in Germany at Epcot and I`ve always wanted to try it. This past weekend, my cousin visited me and so I took him around Orlando and we went to Disney. I made reservations at Biergarten for lunch and I`m so glad I did!
Biergarten is a German-themed/styled restaurant in Disney`s Epcot park (the one with all the countries in it, haha). It`s a buffet-style place so you can help yourself to whatever you want to eat! I got some German sausage, meatballs, chicken, potatoes, sauerkraut, pretzel bread, veggies, and some other deliciousness :) I ordered a delicious beer that is only available inside the restaurant and was entertained by some German musicians. It was really fun!
The restaurant is just like a traditional German `beer garden` in the sense that you end up sitting with a bunch of other people at your table. My cousin and I sat with a really nice family who were from Iowa. I always like to meet new people and doing the seating that way gets you to socialize with other park guests.
Dessert was amazing - I got some vanilla pudding, a small slice of chocolate cake, and some apple strudel. YUM!!! I so wish I had room to eat more... it was all so good! My favorite overall was probably the German sausage and meatballs. Absolutely delicious!!
A really cool thing is, if you don`t finish your beer or drink, they`ll put it in a cup for you to take with you which is really nice (since most places would never let you leave with alcohol in a `to go` cup, haha). My cousin and I finished our beers, though, and we were on our way! (We were drinking around the world, which is where you get a drink in every country, and this was our first stop!)
The only bad thing about Biergarten is the price. It`s a little on the more expensive side (it was about $70 for the two of us, and I used my Disney AP discount, too) but it`s honestly worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
