Last week, my brother, my dad, and I went to our friendly neighbourhood diner for some vittles. :)
We couldn`t decide what to share for an appetizer, so I suggested the roast beef Yorkshire puddings to start with. They came with some au jus and horeseradish mayo. The Yorkshire puddings themselves were crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside, just how they should be! They tasted awesome with the au jus and horseradish mayo. It was a lot like having mini roast beef sandwiches.
For my entree, I decided to order something I hadn`t tried before - the salmon dinner. It came with baked salmon, goat cheese, seasonal vegetables, and roast potatoes. It was alright, but it definitely wasn`t the best meal I have had there. At least it was healthy, though! My dad got a meatloaf wellington (a meatloaf covered in puff pastry), which he said was oversalted, unfortunately. My brother got the fried chicken dinner, with REAL gravy and mashes potatoes. I have had it before, and it`s definitely a winner. :)
I will keep coming back to this restaurant, as I love their dishes more often than not. The salmon dinner was a bit of a let-down, but it was nutritious regardless of the flavour.
