I love dim sum, so when my mom went to a local Asian grocery store, she bought some frozen dim sum that you can steam at home.
She bought 2 different kinds, a shrimp siu mai, and a mini pork bun.
The pork buns are pretty tiny, but expand quite a bit when you steam them. The siu mai pretty much stay the same size.
Overall, these aren`t as great as fresh made dim sum, but they are still pretty tasty. They are done in about 15 minutes. I preferred the pork buns, since the wrapper is nice and soft.
I would buy these again as a quick and easy addition to a meal.
Have you guys ever tried these kinds of frozen dim sum options?
