Some myths and popular beliefs about the calories make us take bad decisions so it is important to investigate or inquire about what we will do before harm ourselves.

First, lets see what calories are:
Calories are energy, the fuel that our bodies use to carry out all its activities obtained from the food we eat. For most the basic activities like breathing to the most complexes like physical effort. A calorie deficit would bring health problems, such as muscle breakdown, which can even reach compromise vital organs.

We must be clear that there are different types of calories. This means that not all of the calories of the food are the same regardless of where they come from. For example, is not the same to eat a lot of junk food that has the same amount of calories as a bowl of rice with vegetables because despite having the same amount of calories, they dont have the same nutritional properties.
