This is the last dessert I picked up at Mikes Pastry in Boston. This is hands down one of the best desserts on the face of the planet! Its gigantic (note: this picture was not taken up close), crispy and just plain delicious. Its called a lobster tail because the dough is formed to look like a lobsters tail shell, the inside is then piped with fresh made slightly sweet whipped cream. The dough is nice and crispy so its got a bite to it and doesnt get soggy with the whip cream inside of it. The powder sugar on top is optional, but I enjoy it more so with the powder sugar on it. My boyfriend and I together have only eaten ¼ of it. Its a really, good, light dessert, but its not something you can eat half of in one sitting because it is filling. I have local Italian bakeries that sell lobster tails, but none of them are even remotely close to being as good as the lobster tails available at Mikes.
