I could only imagine what it`d feel like to win an Olympic medal and if I did win one I would probably be like Brazil`s Felipe Kitadai and wear it everywhere at all times of the day, but may be not when taking a shower or going to the washroom. Well in the case for Kitadai, he had won the bronze medal in the 60-kilogram judo competition and wore his medal everywhere even into the shower, but he didn`t want to get it wet so he bit it between his teeth and then the strap snapped and the medal fell to the ground and got dented. No worries though because the Brazilian Olympic Committee requested a new one and the International Olympic Committee will give him a new one. I think taking it to the shower is kind of extreme though I wouldn`t even want to risk the strap getting wet if I won one.
If you won an Olympic medal would you shower with it and wear it every day at all times for a short period?
Would you have given him a new medal or do you think he should have had to live with a dented medal because it was his fault.
