Delicious Dinner: Beef Pocket, Corn, Broccoli

This is what I made for dinner the other night. I just got around to uploading the photo, though. This was a simple meal that took nearly no time at all to get together.

I started with little meat and cheese filled crescent rolls. I just browned some ground beef...I seasoned it with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion. You can season it with whatever you like best. Then, once the meat is browned, I put a bit of it into one triangle from the refrigerated crescent rolls. Sprinkle a bit of cheese over the top (I used a mexican blend) of the meat and then place a second triangle over the top. I used a fork to seal the edges together and then sort of tucked them up. They went into a 350 oven until browned... it was right around 12 minutes.

For the sides I simply made some steamed broccoli and corn on the cob. Both super simple. Boil the corn for about 10 minutes, just until tender. The broccoli was put into a sauce pan with a touch of water in the bottom, a lid put on and cooked for maybe 5 minutes. Again, it was just long enough to get them tender. I didn`t season them with anything while they were cooking to keep them more fresh and allow for each of us to add to them as we wanted. I sprinkled a tiny bit of salt on my broccoli and that was it. On my corn, I always enjoy a bit of butter and a sprinkling of salt.

Everyone enjoyed this super simple, tasty dinner. I think the next time I do this, I`m going to add some type of gravy to pour over the top or to dip into on the side for the beef pockets.
