Located in the Bolivian Andes mountains, the North Yungas road was named the world`s most dangerous road. The road is 43 miles long, and is well known for the scary obstacles. It even has a nickname: Road of Death.
For instance, there are "terrifying drop offs, tight hairpins, narrow passages and almost no guardrails at all." To make matters worse, there is only a single lane. AND there is fog which makes it difficult to see clearly. Rain also occurs, making the road slippery and even more dangerous.
Each year, approximately 250 die from traveling the "Road of Death". Knowing the facts, I would never risk my life to travel on this road.
- Have you ever been on a dangerous road?
- Would you ever drive on this road?
