Have you heard of Daiso? It`s a Japanese store that mainly sells everything for $1.50 - you`ll find neat/unique/funny items here from household, stationary to make up, pet items, car accessories and so forth. There are some useful itms and other items for $1.50, it may be pricey. The funny thing is that this is a Japanese store but mainly everything is made from China. I was trying to find items made in Japan but didn`t come across any. Anywho, Daiso opened about a month ago literally ten minutes away from my house but I didn`t get a chance to go to Daiso until today.
I purchased a few items (but only pictured two items because the rest is at my boyfriends). I purchased a cute Piggy bank because I`m obsessed with pigs! At the bottom there is a plug so you could put money in and take it out. The next item I purchased is a Maneki Neko also known as `Beckoning Cat`. The meaning behind this cat (below). This white cat has a left paw up, right paw up, bell, and has spots! I also bought one for my boyfriend because I thought it was cute!
Left Paw Up: Inviting customers or people
Right Paw Up: Inviting money and fortune
Bib & Bell Or Coin: Wealth
Fish: Abundance & fortune
White Cat: Purity & Positively
Spotted Cat: Traditionally, The luckiest cat of all
Overall: I had a fun time in Daiso, next time I might bring a friend to make it more fun - everything is so cute and clean. I was in a rush because I was ordering food to go nearby so I only had thirty minutes to browse around.
