I was watching ESPN earlier tonight and as i watched the ticker tape at the bottom go across the screen it reported three quarterbacks will be sidelined by injuries this weekend. Head trauma in the form of concussions will cause Michael Vick of the Eagles, Alex Smith of the 49ers, and Bears signal caller Jay Cutler will all be missing in action due to concussions received in last weeks gridiron games. This led me to ask; with all the head injuries is the NFL too violent of a sport? I know that is a stretch but even NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is looking into the matter. Let`s hope for all of us pigskin lovers that Sunday afternoons aren`t taken away from us because of the violence of the sport. I just can`t see myself watching golf on a Sunday afternoon. Now tell me what you think: 1) Do you think the NFL is too violent of a sport. 2) Should the NFL take even more measures to keep the players safe?
