One of my favorite desserts to make is creme brulee/custard because its not to hard to make, its quick if you don`t count the cool down time and its very good.
I usually make it and then put sugar on top to burn, something which i have posted before, but this time i decided to follow something i saw in a magazine and instead of burning the sugar on the top, i did caramel to put on top =D
Its just putting sugar on a pan and stir, letting the sugar melt and then place it on a cold surface. After that the sugar will be like caramel candy very quick and you have to take it from the surface in put it on the custard/creme brulee/whatever you want to call it. The caramel didn`t turn out as well as i wanted in terms of presentation because its very hard to take out once it cool down, but in terms of flavor and everything it was fine. A nice alternative to the burned sugar on top.
Do you like creme brulee/custard?
Have you had it with the caramel on top like this?
