Macarons! That is the topic my latest food post, actually my first one in quite some time. So, recently I`ve been on this crazy macaron craze. It`s quite strange but ever since my sister introduced me to my first one I`ve fallen in love.
If you don`t know what a macaron is it...it is a French pastry that is maringue based, and usually has a type of cream inside like butter cream. It also comes in a large variety of flavors and such pretty colors! I live in the bay so there`s a bunch of different shops that sells these. The best one by far is one in SF called L`Artisan Gourmet Macarons owned by a french guy, who studied in france. These pastry things are SUPER hard to make. And they`re suppose to be sort of a crunch on the outside and chewy on the inside. But some people can not make them right so they`re totally ruined and way too crunchy like a cookie. No good. If you`re wondering these things are expensive! They`re small and range from $1-3 for one.

That;s just to name a few, they come in so many unique flavors as well, do try them out if you ever get the chance to. They`re like the best dessert/snacking pastry EVER! Especially if you don`t like an overly sweet pastry these are the things to try!
