This is review is way over due any here is it is. I purchased the crown brushes from Hautelook a few months ago. I want to say back in March but Im not a 100 percent sure. I have had enough time to use most of the brushes. However there are some brushes that I received in the set that I just dont use like the lipbrush, the angled eyeliner brush, and the smudge brush. i have found that these brushes are more dense than the sigma brushes that I have. Which I feel that more dense brushes put on makeup better.
My first impressions of the brushes I opened them up it smelled like a bunch of chemicals. The brush holder was made of cheap plastic and something else. It smelled like new plastic but the smell was awe full. The brushes smell bad at first. The smell went away the more I used them. I noticed how soft and dense the brushes were. They applied makeup quite nicely. When I first washed I didnt notice any shedding. I didn`t notice any shedding till like till the fifth wash. The shedding was pretty minor it wasn`t a lot just a few hairs.
My favorite brushes are the powder brush, the crease brush, concealer brush, and the eyeshadow brush. I have washed them a few times since I have gotten them they wash up nicely. There is really is not to much shedding on these. I noticed with one of the sigma brushes that there was a lot of shedding which drives me crazy. These brushes are really soft I dont remember what the brushes are made out of. The tops of them are tinted pink for breast cancer which I thought was neat. On the sides of the brushes it says brush away cancer.
Overall I am happy with my brushes, I use them on a daily basis, I wear makeup everyday to work. I got past the smell of them at first. I got really good deal for them 30 buck plus shipping. The brushes were originally almost a 100 bucks. I think there pretty good quality I like how soft and dense they are. It makes putting makeup on that much easier.
Have you tried crown brushes?
