I have recently been to Greece-crete (Hersonissos) on holiday. I don`t normally do these kinds of posts because I don`t go on holiday a great deal, so i thought i would share my experience with you.
First of all, the apartment complex that I stayed in was slightly disappointing, the free wifi which we got was only supplied through the lobby, which meant sitting indoors on a hot day, not happening! It was all inclusive and the food was a let down, everything was open so fly`s were basically invited to have a rest on the food on display and there wasn`t much variety. The rooms were NOT cleaned as they should have been, the sheets did not get changed once whilst we were there!
Anyways, enough of the ranting about the complex, onto the actual place. Hersonissos is such a beautiful place, it really is. The weather is fantastic (35+ degrees), the people are so friendly, although it does get slightly tedious when you have to keep saying no to their attempts at convincing you to come into their restaurant/bar. There are so many shops/bars/restaurants which are opening basically 24/7. Along the harbour there are numerous boat trips available, we chose to go on the pirate ship to Malia, which was great, we also travelled to the main city, Iraklion and nearing the end of the holiday got a ship to Santorini.
Santorini is beautiful, that is the only word that I can use to describe that island. It has so much history and it`s just an amazing place to explore (the last 2 pictures are of Santorini). The only downside to Santorini is the price of everything is extortionate, although I would definately recommend you try the pitta wraps, delicious!
Overall, Crete is an amazing place and I would recommend it to anyone!!
