So I finally ordered the famous "Creme de la Mer"! I had been hesitant to purchase because of the hefty price tag. But reading so many good reviews and my skin starting to give my age away I felt compelled to just cough up the dough and go for it. I normally dont spend so much on just one item. Since the normal routine requires several items.
It comes in a nice glass/ceramic heavy pot. Its stand holds a scoop spoon underneath it. Which is great as to not waste the product. It smells just like Nivea to me. It kinda bothered me the first time I smelled it. I guess guilt was kicking in for splurging. And maybe it not being as great as expected.
It is thick and needs to be smoothed out between fingers to get it going. So it can be easier applied to the face. I found that once its on, your skin just absorbs it rapidly considering the texture at first. I could immediately feel how soft, well moisturized my skin felt without it feeling greasy. Time will tell what little miracle this cream will do to my skin. So far I would recommend it.
I will later take some closeups of my skin so we can see what a big difference it has done. The before & afters will be my evidence to justify the price, LOL.
Also if considering buying it look out for free samples with purchase. The Creme de la Mer site usually always offers 2 samples + free shipping. Sometimes other department stores like Bloomingdales, Nordstroms & Macys offer great samples. Once I saw they offered a deluxe sample kit. Im still hunting for something like that to purchase anything else. Since it is so expensive.
Also if you are registered to a site like EBATES you get a certain percentage back. Only a couple of bucks but a couple of bucks more for the next beauty product. I use it and I think I got $9 back.
