This was from my trip to Hong Kong when I kept going to the Agnes b Cafe for dessert. They have amazing cakes and pastries there and I went at least once a week to try their cakes. Each week, they featured new flavors of cakes.
This one was the Creme Brulee Cheesecake. I love creme brulee and I love Asian cheesecake. Asian cheesecake is different from most Western cheesecakes because they use a lot of cream cheese, it`s very light and fluffy.
This cheesecake was no exception, it was a bit heavier than most other Chinese bakeries but I think its mainly due to the fact that most Westerners do visit Agnes B cafe so its more tailored to them rather than to regular Chinese folk.
It didn`t have a strong creme brulee or burnt sugar taste, it was very mild, it actually tasted more like a regular cheese cake than creme brulee. In that aspect I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting strong burnt sugar and pudding taste. However, the cheesecake itself was not bad =)
The only thing is, it was $7 USD per slice!
What do you guys think?
