Counters: Make Your Own Hamburger

So there are a few "Make your own burger" places near me. My brother went to this one "Counters" with his friends and came home bragging about it lol. So my mom and bf decided they wanted to go. I have to say it was good.

They have patties that were 1/3, 1/2 and 1lb in size and they varied in price. Each price included 1 pattie, bun, cheese, 4 toppings (.50cents for extra toppings), and sauce.

First they give you a menu where you check off what and how you want your burger. It`s all about you! You get to choose what type of patty you want, how big you want it, what kind of bread/bun, toppings and dressing from the list given.. and trust me they have a bunch of stuff. I`m sure if you wanted something special you could ask them.

Since we went during happy hour their side orders were 50% off as well as the deserts and drinks. We got the half & half (fries/onion strings) I recommend getting the onion strings because the fries weren`t that great. The burger came out to a good size a thick patty. I had to cut my burger in half in order to eat it but then again i have small hands. My bf`s burger fit in his hands perfectly.

I realized I forgot to mention what I got! lol.. I got the 1/3 size patty on regular hamburger bun, with provolone cheese, spinach, string carrot, lettuce, grilled onions and honey mustard dressing. My BF got a plain classic burger (1/3 patty, bun, spinach, tomato, pickles, lettuce, thousand island sauce). My mom got (1/3 patty, bun, cucumber, spinach, tomatos, carrots, and tzaki dressing).. not sure what kind of dressing that is.. but i think its like sweet and sour?

Have you ever eaten at a place like this? Do you like onion strings or regular french fries?
