=] he he he.. I LOVE OYSTERS.. raw. especially raw, if i had an option i`d only eat oysters raw. HOWEVER, at restaurants that`s not always available.
I tend to go all the way to the Sydney Seafood Market to get my fresh oysters. but NOW.. that Costco has open it`s SSSOOO much easier. I must admit - the quality of the oyters were much better when Costco first opened in Sydney - now the quality is just sloppy =[
It costs $11.90 or so for a dozen, that`s comparable to Sydney seafood market - they have hteir ups and downs depending on supply and demand but also the quality. i still much prefer going to the seafood markets but on a lazy day - this will do =]
By the way, if you`re looking for oysters to eat RAW, then go for rock rather than pacific, rock has a more intense / sweet taste raw, where as pacific can be larger in size so cooking it means that it won`t strink into nothing lol but they aren`t as sweet.
