Coral amp tea rose e.l.f. matte lip color

So I bought these e.l.f. matte lips colors not so long ago and I mentioned in my haul that I had these in that so far I didnt like them. A few of you asked if it was the formula that I didnt like or if it was the colors I choose. Well to clear it all up it was the colors that I choose that I hated. These are only $3 at Target and I like matte lip products so I thought these have to be a winner but the shades I got were not. The two that I got are coral and tea rose. Swatched out on my arm they look beautiful but because I have pigmented lips these were too cool toned for me and I just looked ridiculous. They are a retractable pen very similar packaging to a M.A.C. shadestick. The formula on these however are nice. They are soft, definitely a matte finish but not drying whatsoever, and they are also pigmented. They are quite creamy so they glide onto the lips very easily, but because its so creamy I realized that I dont like that it is. I dont know why but they remind me of those soft pastel chalks. I also noticed that if you have chapped or cracked lips this product tends to enhance the appearance of the cracks of your lips and the packaging is rather cheap but I cant complain since this was only three bucks.

Coral: Coral actually looks more of a pinky nude: On me this looked like straight up concealer on my lips! Horrible and I looked dead and washed out!

Tea Rose: plumy mauve: This was too cool toned for me and because my lips are pigmented this looked like I had foundation blended over my lips. Not a good look at all!

Id return these if I could but I dont think I can since I got them from Target but overall I dont like these two particular shades. Will I try the other shades? Maybe, I dont know yet.
