Copycat Recipe: Mrs. Fields Butter Toffee Cookies

Hi everyone! The butter toffee cookie was my favorite cookie at Mrs. Field`s, so of course they discontinued it, and I`ve been sad ever since. Now that I`m out of school for a little bit, I`m trying to cook and bake more, and this is the first dessert I`ve made since the holidays.

For the butter toffee cookie recipe, I used this one:

I more or less followed the recipe as written, though I did half the amounts because I don`t need 2 dozen cookies. The note at the bottom says you can chill the cookie dough before baking to get a crisp outside and chewy inside, but I didn`t do that either.

I made larger cookies, similar to the size at Mrs. Fields, which required a little more time than the stated 10-12 minutes. The size of the cookie dough ball was slightly smaller than a golf ball, and then I placed it on parchment paper and flattened it a bit. They will eventually flatten out to what you see in the pictures.
