Good Morning Lovelies! I wanted to start the day off today and talk about a trend that I am really not sure about. The "color melt" hair color technique. I`m not a stylist so I`m not sure how it is actually done, but the color seems to be added to the hair below the root. I think its purpose is to creat a natural sunkissed look. But to be honest... it looks like a bunch of famous people couldnt afford to get their roots touched up for a while.
I was born with very blonde hair, but as I got older it started to darken up. I decided at that point to color my hair so I could keep it blond! I`ve been highlighting my hair now for probably 10ish years so of course there have been times... especially in college.... where my roots grew out because I couldnt afford the color. I would hate it because my hair, to me, looked greasy as the roots grew out! Well, here we are 10 years later and this is the new style!
I`m not a huge fan of this, I have to be honest. When I first started seeing this style, I thought celebrities were trying to make it look good to grow out your roots because of the down economy and the fact that average women arent coloring their hair as much anymore. I know that sounds rediculous, but it was the only thing I could think of, haha!
What do you think? Do you like this style?
