Collective Skincare + Cosmetics Haul + Reviews

I bought some new cosmetics and skin care recently and thought i`d share them with all of you and give you a mini review if possible.

I got the Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser in the original formula ($5.99). It`s described as "This unrivaled cleanser wipes away dirt, oil, and impurities to clear pores and refresh skin. Daily use helps to gently exfoliate oily and blemish prone skin and clean breakouts. It`s the ultimate solution for super-clear, healthy skin. No problem." What`s unique about this product is that you don`t wash it away you just use a pad and wipe your face with it. The only downside is that I can only find it in Ulta but I`ve heard its a pretty good cleanser so I hope it works for me.

Next I bought two Essence products from Ulta as well.
One is the All Eyes on Me multi effect mascara in soft black ($2.49). It claims that it will give extra volume, length, curl, thickness and separation. It has a regular spiral applicator and it doesn`t seem to hold too much product on the bristles.

The other Essence product I bought was the designer eye brow pencil in Brown ($1.99). I`ve always wanted to try filling in my brows to see if it`ll really make a difference. As soon as I got back to my dorm I tried it out and it really gives a nice natural look. I feel like it softens the look of my eyes. I like that it has a brush and that it`s quite firm but brushes softly. Definitely recommend this product.

From Sears I found this Bellaboo face kit (Retail $35 on Sale for $8.50) on clearance. It includes the Buff Skin Facial Exfoliator, All That Clan Skin Facial Wash, and Goregeous Skin Moisture Dew each is 5.07fl oz. I`ve always wanted to try out this line because although it doesn`t get that many reviews (probably because it`s hard to find in most stores) it consistently got high reviews. Ordinarily it costs $13 for each product so it seems also pretty expensive for the amount of product you get. So I`m glad I found it for so dirt cheap. I can`t wait to try it.

Also from Sears I got this Milani Multi tasker face powder in Light Tan ($6). I`ve been needing a new face powder since I`ve discovered that my Physicians Formula one is too light right now and my other powders were really expired and had to be thrown out. I like this powder it`s really light weight and has light-medium coverage. I feel it really covers my pores and makes my skin appear smoother. I really been loving this product so far and would recommend it to anyone who doesn`t need that much coverage. It has a new packaging with a flowery print on the powder. It has a bit of a baby powder scent which I don`t mind and the pan flips up to reveal a large mirror and sponge. I think the only downside is that the packaging is a bit bulky.

Next up Covergirl kit from target Smokey Eye Look (Clearance $5.24). I went to target because I wanted to try a new mascara and when I saw that this was cheaper than buying one mascara, I get 3 products AND I`m always hearing good reviews on the Covergirl Lash Blast mascara I decided I needed to buy the last box before anyone else saw it! It came with the mascara, Line Exact Liquid Liner (in Smoke) and Smokey Shadow Blast (in Silver Sky).

Review on Covergirl Lash Blast:
Light weight formula. Somewhat holds a curl (but I have stick straight Asian lashes). Love the big brush it really separates well. I recommend this product (but my favorite mascara of all time is still Full n Soft by Maybelline).

Review on Line Exact Liquid Liner:
I life the felt tip it`s really pointy and you can get a nice thin or thick line depending on your preference. The bad is that it smudges easily. Please don`t buy this product.

Review Smokey Eye Shadow Blast:
Love the colors: sparkly silver and a a sparkly lavender-plum. Love the look on my eyes and that it lasts the whole school day before I need to touch up. It doesn`t smudge that much on me which is surprising because I have oily eyelids. It does help if you just use it as a base and then put powder over it. I do actually recommend this product ( I was skeptical of it because I thought it was just another crummy gimmick but its not!).

Overall this kit has a few hits and misses and it was a really good value overall. It even included a tutorial if you needed it but because it was part of the box itself rather than on a separate piece of paper I threw it out. Definitely will be on the look out for more value kits in Target!

Lastly I got a few goodies from Rite Aid from a few weeks ago.

First is the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner ($2.99). I`ve always wanted to try a deep conditioner to see if it`ll make a difference with the texture of my hair. It really does leave my hair really soft and a bit more shinier. Like a lot of other people I recommend this product to use once a week.

Lastly some products from wet and wild during their buy one get one free sale. I got the megalast salon nail polish in "I need a refresh-mint" and "Private Viewing"(usually $1.99 each). I gotta say I LOVE the formulas of these polishes. They last a good week without a base/top coat before they start chipping at the tips. The wide brush applicator makes it easy to apply. You need at least 2 layers to get a nice opaque color. The only downside is that it takes a while to dry I`d recommend using a fast drying top coat. Otherwise they`re awesome and they`re all that I wear on my nails these days.

Lastly I got WNW megalast lipsticks (usually a $1.99 each) in Bare it All (a browny-pink nude) and Think Pink (nice baby pink). The formula is a bit heavy and unless you`ve scrubbed your lips and put on lipbalm beforehand they can settle into the creases of your lips. The color is really opaque with one stroke. I`m a bit on the fence with these because although the colors are pretty you do need to prep before you use them. I`ve never tried to see how long it takes to see when the color starts to fade because the color rubs off easily if your eating and drinking anyway. So try it if you want but they`re better products out there I`m sure.

What`s are the 3 makeup products you can`t live without?
(Mine are mascara, lipstick and foundation :D)
