I always see my boyfriend`s nephew munching on these Coconut Cookies, in Vietnamese they`re called Banh Men Sung Mau. I have always seen these cookies in Asian Markets but never bought them/tried them until this morning; today. It`s a cookie that comes in a few colors (white, pink, green) but they all taste the same, color is just to appeal to kids and the cookie is hard.. As I put it in my mouth, you can taste how powdery the cookie is with some flavored coconut. I don`t believe these cookies are healthy but it`s a "Vietnamese version" cookie oppose to American cookies that have Chocolate. The cookies come in a cute attractive plastic packaging and retails for about $2.99 at your local Asian Market.. which isn`t so bad but personally not something I can snack on. I don`t like the powdery after taste, I do taste a hint of coconut though.
Do you have childhood cookies you remember eating? Mine would have to be the Yan Yan snacks and the Coconut Cookies.
