Yesterday after I went to pick up my prescription, I decided to get this coconut cake that my mom constantly raves about and I have to admit, it`s really good. I bought it at a place called Van`s Bakery located in Garden Grove, CA. Actually, that`s quite vague because there are quite a few locations within the city`s proximity alongside Westminster but I`ll list the one I went below if anyone near is interested.
The cake itself is green and it has a cute little floral design on top. For the amount you get, I personally think the price is really good at $2.50 per piece; the size is like half a brick. I love how moist this cake is so I wasn`t craving for a milk of glass while I had this. The frosting is a nice butter-cream consistency with a bit of coconut flavoring to it. Though I don`t have it shown in the picture, the middle has another layer of cream but within the cream were fresh coconut pieces and it added a unique touch to the cake.
For $2.50 a slice, this really filled me up. They have other flavors that I haven`t tried besides Mocha (mocha was okay, it didn`t have much flavor to it).
