*Please read my post "Clinique Moisturizers, before we start" prior to this. It explains the skin care to use with this product!
In my last post I talked about the Super Defense SPF 25 daily moisturizer to help prevent the first signs of aging. I mentioned that because the product had an SPF in it, it was designed to be used only during the day. The Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer is the product that you would use at night. This product, like the Super Defense is designed to help repair damage to the skin from throughout the day as well as prevent future damage. You would want to use these two products (super defense and super rescue) together, one at night, and one during the day.
During the day your skin goes into "protection" mode, where it is protecting itself from the environment. At night it goes into "repair" mode, where it is repairing itself from stresses throughout the day. If a product is designed specifically for the day (it has an SPF, or says "for daytime use") it is designed to help the skin protect itself, and if used at night it will not help the skin repair itself and vice versa (if it says "nighttime" it is made to help repair, not protect).
It may seem like you are saving money by only purchasing one product (either daytime or night time) but in reality you are not getting the full benefit of it, and you will go through the one bottle twice as fast. In my opinion, it is better to pay a little more up front for a longer lasting product and longer lasting results!
