Here is how I clean my brushes with olive oil and dish soap. It very easy and very cheap!
First I pour a little olive oil onto a paper plate and then a little dish soap (I use Dawn) right next to it. I wet my brush and then mix the oil and soap around the plate with my brush. You`ll be surprised at how much makeup comes off your brushes! Once everything is mixed up and gross looking, wash your brush out under warm water and let it dry!
I really like using dish soap and oil to wash my brushes because its a lot cheaper than buying brush shampoo, and it works just as well. I was a bit skeptical about using olive oil on my brushes at first because I thought it would spread to my face when I used them. Luckily this is not the case, as the dish soap mixes with the oil and your brush is completely stripped clean after you rinse it off, so you won`t find any oil on your brushes when you use them! :) The dish soap disinfects your brushes and gets rid of all that nasty bacteria that likes to hide in your brush and the oil conditions the bristles leaving them nice and soft after the dish soap strips them clean!
