Though the packaging is not as cute as the Cinderella Storybook palette, the Quad Eyeshadow is noteworthy for the colors. Surprisingly, all 4 colors in the quad are not featured in the 20-eyeshadow collection in the Storybook Palette.
The quad eyeshadow has a white plastic packaging around it, which makes it look a lot cheaper than the storybook palette which has velvet casing. However, the design featured was the prince`s castle, which is a beautiful painting on the case.
The quad has four main shimmery colors which are perfect for the upcoming winter:
White base - which is more beige than white used to highlight the eyelids, surrounding area and bottom lid as well as the inner corners of the eye
Champagne - dull pinkish color to highlight the crease and bottom eyelids
Grey - light grey color used to highlight the outer corners of the eye, providing a light smokey base
Charcoal - very beautiful shimmery charcoal color that can double up as an eyeliner or used to outline the winged tips to create a very smokey eye
Personally, I think if you`re into natural makeup, like myself, this palette is more suitable than the storybook palette as the storybook palette has a lot of pastel colors, such as blue, purple, and orange. This has more of your base colors that you can do day to night looks and it`s very portable and travel friendly.
This quad is also $36, which I find is pretty pricey considering the storybook palette is $65. However, if you put it into perspective, a similar Dior 5 eyeshadow palette costs $55.
Hope that helps.
