Continuation of my DIY Christmas 2013.
I donated 80% of my Christmas items last year including all the ornaments that I bought at Walmart during the after Christmas clearance sale of january 2011. I wanted a more simple tree this year that still speaks volume and creativeness. Once again thank you Google God.
This is a very cheap DIY project that is versatile. Perfect for an-all craft fest. All you need are:
-Toilet paper rolls
-Sponge brush or makeup sponge (optional)
You can paint the toilet paper rolls if you would like, which I painted mines in white to make it really stand out on my tree. I also used plain black sharpie to draw out the faces and cut the roll in half to make stubby owls as well as to have more.
I do not recommend you telling your children to unravel all the toilet paper rolls in the house. Of course, I was able to collect about 7 rolls in less than a month with just two people in my household, that gives me a total of 14 stubby little white owls. If you have a bigger household, this will be faster to achieve and more owls for you to decorate.
I will post at the end of the week of the overall tree that I made :)
