We can never get enough of them. But have you stopped to think about the damage certain shoes can do to your health? I`m talking particularly about flats. I love my flats as they are so versatile and can be paired with almost any outfit for a laid back casual look to a more dressier look. However I find that it is nearly impossible to walk long distances with them.
Without much arch support, flats are not the best shoes for your feet as they do not provide enough cushion when walking. There is little heel support so you can develop pain if you wear flats for a while. It also strains the calf muscles also developing pain.
There are certain insoles that you can buy at shoe stores that provide an arch support and extra cushioning. Slip one of those into each shoe for extra comfort and of course, to protect your feet!
