Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

This is a very late post, but I made chocolate covered strawberries for my boyfriend! I made red velvet cupcakes for him last year and I didn`t want to make him the same thing again. I wanted something different and new and exciting, but EASY. I decided on chocolate covered strawberries!

The first thing I did was boil water in a sauce pan. Then I lowered the heat and put a ladle with a handle horizontally on the sauce pan so that it was sitting on the water, but not submerged in it all the way so that water could come inside. Then I put in Nestle`s bittersweet chocolate chips and waited for it to melt. I stirred occasionally. While it was doing its thing, I got out a flat pan and covered it in waxing paper for the chocolate covered strawberries to rest in. Then I washed the strawberries. I should have done it the day before so I didn`t have to wait for the strawberries to dry, but oh well. You CANNOT dip wet strawberries into melted chocolate. The chocolate doesn`t stick onto the strawberries and you get an uneven amount of chocolate on the strawberries.

After I dipped the strawberries into the chocolate, I laid them on their sides on the wax paper and let them harden in the fridge. Then I was done! My boyfriend was so excited to eat them. He thought I bought them lol.
