I made cookies and desserts for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This is one of the batches of cookies I made. I actually wasn`t going to make these, but since I decided cookies was going to be my dessert to bring to peoples houses I decided to make a few extra to shake it up. I ended up getting 3 1/2 dozen out of this batch.
These cookies are Chocolate Chip Walnut! I actually "cheated" on this batch of cookies by using a bag of Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip cookie mix (see here, my picture was gobbled up on my phone: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Betty-Crocker-Chocolate-Chip-Cookie-Mix-17.5-oz/10311487). I actually ended up throwing some walnuts into the batter before mixing it up.
I baked them 25 degrees lower than what the bag stated (my oven cooks SO fast) and only baked 5 minutes before looking at them. If they weren`t golden on the bottom I gave them another 1-2 minutes. The cookies were softer in texture. I happen to like a crispier outside of a cookie and a softer inside but with the temperamental oven of mine I decided it would be best to finish them off before they burnt up into a heaping mess.
Overall these were yummy and were a great Christmas Eve dessert as well as Christmas Cookie to-go platter.
Do you like chocolate chip walnut cookies?
